"I do believe in miracles! What craftsmanship -
so carefully detailed, and beautiful.
A real treasure."
Tracy Berger opened Berger's Furniture Refinishing in 1982 and has been a staple to St. Paul's east side ever since. He now works side by side with his son Eric, making Berger's a proud family-owned and operated business.
We disassemble all furniture pieces we work on, stripping and re-gluing each piece back together before we hand sand and stain the wood to ensure the finest finished product that will stand the test of time. We do not take shortcuts and use the best materials on your furniture.
Tracy Berger always knew he wanted to work with his hands and found a love for refinishing furniture early on in his career. He began his journey studying and perfecting his craft at Dakota County Technical College. From there, he started working at Schmitt Music where he found his passion for piano refinishing.
It was at that point in his career, in 1982, that he decided to open the doors to Berger's Furniture Refinishing. Now, over 30 years later, serving over 10,000 satisfied customers, he still can't wait to start each day at his shop. The pride in his craft comes through with each piece that he touches, bringing many people to tears when they see the beauty he was brought back to their family heirlooms.
In 2016, Tracy Berger purchased the building that Berger's had resided for the past 30+ years. With the help of the Payne-Arcade Business Association, he fully renovated the building, assisting in the resurgence of business life on St. Paul's east side. Tracy and Donna Berger were recognized for their efforts with the 2016 Golden Brick Award for their investment and rehabilitation of Berger's Furniture Refinishing.
